Solitude, despair,
Is finding yourself
Facing the world alone;
with no one to turn,
No hand to reach for
in times of woe.
When the money you make
Is never enough
To make ends meet
as you try to survive.
When you wonder hopelessly
How to pay your rent while
trying to soothe your hunger’s pain.
Hopelessness, despair,
Is struggling daily
To keep your head afloat
Despite your useless efforts
To survive on your own.
Hiding from knocks on your door,
Your heart leaps in fright,
Whoever it is
Does not bring any tips.
Your body aches,
You feel like you are dying,
Can’t bear the stress
Of living like this.
You desperately seek
Ways to improve your income,
Yet, everything requires you
to have money to start.
Is there any hope in sight?
